Public Nights for 2008
They call them "The Dog Days of Summer". Saturday, August 2nd will be the opening night for the second half of DMAS 2008 Public Night season. After taking July off to focus on hosting the 2008 Astronomy League convention, we are excited about getting back out to Ashton Observatory and viewing the night sky.

2009 is the 400th anniversary of the first use of an astronomical telescope by Galileo Galilei. To celebrate, 2009 has been declared The International Year of Astronomy. Watch for special event, here in central Iowa and around the world.
